Dec.5,2003(Enorth.com.cn) When we got the news that the light train has started its pilot run, we went to try on it personally.

Fortunately, we became the first passages to travel on the light train.

The carriage is spacious and clean.

At 8:10am, we got to the starting station in Zhong Shanmen, and waited for the train. 8:30, the sound of hooter indicated the coming of No.103 light train. When the train stopped slowly, we got chance to have a more clear view of what train is. The doors opened and we stepped into the carriage. How spacious and warm it is! Different from the cool air we breathed on the station, the warm breeze flows in the carriage. An official gave us a brief introduction about the light train. A whole light train is composed of 4 carriages, each can seat 56-66 persons. Thus the maximum passage capability can achieve 1000. There are inner air-conditioning on the roof and electronic heater under every seat, which assure the temperature is around 22 degree centigrade to 24 degree centigrade.

The windows are wide enough for you to enjoy the beautiful scenery of both sides.

The heater and air-conditioning keep the temperate between 22 degree centigrade to 24 degree centigrade.

When we focus on the facilities inside the carriage, the train has been on its way toward our end destination. There is either the huge noise like the train, nor the bump feeling like the bus. The soft seat make you comfortable and relax you heart at the same time.

Once we are in the train surveillance, the indicating small lights shining on the console attracted our attention. All these monitor the traveling condition of the light train. With the help of electronic map and GPS, we can see clearly the traveling track and the status of every part. On a screen on the right, the number on the monitor increased continuous. After a few minutes, the speed per hour is 60km.

The broadcasting reminds the name of every station. After 50 minutes, we got to the destination of Dong Hai Road station. In this way the pilot run was completed successfully.
